Am I the only one who cried today?

I knew the 100K was coming, but I just find it so overwhelming. It doesn't help that my boss and his wife think COVID-19 is all a liberal hoax. The people who say it's "just like the flu" just don't get it. COVID-19 is in ADDITION to the flu.

One of the first things I encountered this morning was a comment that this was just like the flu which kills 30-60 thousand people a year...I had to sigh and shake my head because COVID has killed 100K in 3 months WITH SEVERE MITIGATION.

It is not the flu...idiots, all who say that stupid phrase.

repress the release of accurate reporting of new cases and deaths to bolster their moves to re-open business. And also to curry favor with trump.

I cry for the deaths. I cry for the memorials. I cry because of the insane cruelty that Trump’s narcissism is forcing on people. I cry for every Black person who is so needlessly killed. I even cry at the stories of heroism and kindness.

my mid twenties died of CV-19 -- I read the blog his wonderful, magnificent wife kept for almost two months as he battled, and she and his daughter weren't able to see him. Just as it seemed he was slowly improving she wrote yesterday that he passed.
