Mitwit Tricked Ann's Date to Steal Her Away

Now, it's totally not unusual to become interested in someone who's seeing someone else when you meet them. But if you're stand-up, do you really just walk off with another guy's date?

Mr. Romney described the night he met his future wife at a high-school party, revealing that he’d wooed her away from another boy who had brought her to party.

“She caught my eye. I went up to her and found she’d come with someone else,” Mr. Romney said. “And I said to the guy she came with, you know, I live closer to Ann than you do. Can I give her a ride home for you? And he said sure.”

“He fell for that?” Mr. Strahan asked.

“Yeah, he fell for that,” Mr. Romney said

Guess that, um, prank would have been post-haircut/assault but pre-tuna fish from cans. I swear it fits right in with everything else I know about him. He's proud of it and assumes it is endearing.

Bonus gross gee-dub anecdote (finally a mention of the last gop prez!):

Mrs. Romney recounted that when she spent the night in the White House during President George W. Bush’s administration, she accidentally wandered into a room where the president was getting a massage.

“He was covered up, but I was so embarrassed that the next time I did see him I didn’t know what I was going to say to him,” she said. “We were going down the elevator from the White House, going to an event together, and I walked up to the elevator and am just like blushing, blushing, blushing ,and he looks at me and he winks as he does and says, ‘I look pretty good, don’t I?’”

His character sucks.

That could have been an isolated incident, and everyone acts like a jerk sometimes, but working backwards it's definitely a sign of a selfish seed.

Supposedly her father was an atheist but she was looking for a religion so for her sake he took her to Sunday church. It seems that Ann was Mitt's first missionary convert shortly after they started dating. He talked her into becoming a Mormon.

it's interesting in a train-wreck kind of way that he chose that incident as one of the Top 100 things that voters should know about him.

It's just another brick in the wall of Rob-me's character: step on anyone to get what he wants. The trend is clear.

Here's a guy who suspiciously has never had ANY friends and on top of that he doesn't get the Guy Code. For someone who's almost exclusively depending on the angry white male vote, that's pretty shortsighted.

On "West Wing" (yes, it's TV, but it was written with consultants who knew how the White House works) there's a guy guarding the President's bedroom even in the middle of the night. How did Ann manage to just stumble in on him? I don't believe this story either.

The other guy obviously wasn't that eager to take Ann home. But still Mittwit thinks it makes him look cool to have taken her from another guy. He's trying to make sure we know he got a girl other guys wanted. From prior knowledge of his character, that I think is how he sees it and why he boats of it.

Also, as treestar implied, Date #1 must not have been too impressed with her.

have allowed someone else to take her home. Just like old Mittens though to brag about "stealing" her from another. First guy was probably only to glad to be able to pawn her off on another.
