Trump tweeted to attack The Atlantic. Yesterday a column there called him the most unmanly president

I wondered how long it would take him to respond to Tom Nichols' devastating analysis of Trump the child and his deluded followers who humor him as a child.

Trump's tweet, posted minutes ago:

Editing to add that Trump just proved his cowardice -- which Nichols mentions -- once again, by not daring to refer directly to the column that has him so upset.

Trump HAS to know that Nichols nailed him there. He doesn't want his followers to see it, wants to just label The Atlantic "Fake News" in the hope no one will believe anything in it.

Editing again to add Tom Nichols' response to Trump's tweet

and the tweet from an editor of The Atlantic, which rather than "failing" has added 90,000 subscribers since March:

And another tweet I want to add, this one from Atlantic staff writer Adam Serwer thanking Trump for throwing them a free subscription drive:

They're laying off 20% (if that's true, which i doubt considering the source) because don's faux economy has collapsed.

(snip)

As the writer Windsor Mann has noted, Trump behaves in ways that many working-class men would ridicule: “He wears bronzer, loves gold and gossip, is obsessed with his physical appearance, whines constantly, can't control his emotions, watches daytime television, enjoys parades and interior decorating, and used to sell perfume.”

Good article and thanks also to Mr. Appelbaum for his cool reply to tRump..........

I'm sure that got under his heavily bronzed, 40-miles of bad road, extremely thin skin. I really hope he reads everything that is written about him and sees every cartoon that lampoons him. And I hope they wound him deeply and make him realize that there is a whole world of people out here who loathe, despise and ridicule him.

He has to know how much he is hated by the rest of the world outside of his sad little cult. Every now and then, something has to get in and burst his little fantasy bubble.

Is that the guy who owned three casinos that went bankrupt, a hotel that went bankrupt, and several resorts that went bankrupt?

Or is that the guy who owned an airline, a magazine, a mortgage company, and a mail-order meat business that flopped?

Or is that the guy whose fake university scam swindled lots of people out of their hard-earned savings?

It's so hard to keep all these crooks straight

Excerpt:

Women clearly scare Trump. You don’t have to take my word for it. “Donald doesn’t like strong women,” Senator Ted Cruz said back in 2016 of the candidate who attacked Cruz’s wife as ugly, but who is now his hero as president. “Strong women scare Donald. Real men don’t try to bully women.”
