I forgot about the MN trump rally and the Cops for Trump T shirts the police union sold

?s=21

The original tweet asks if that policeman was there and shows a picture of the cops at the rally
but since I can not verify that I will just post the reminder tweet about the rally and the T-shirt’s from the police union and their president speaking above and link some articles of the past event below .

https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2019/10/07/mpls-police-union-selling-cops-for-trump-shirts-ahead-of-trump-rally/

https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2019/10/10/bob-kroll-head-of-minneapolis-police-union-speaks-at-trump-rally/

“The Obama administration and the handcuffing and oppression of police was despicable,” Kroll said. “The first thing President Trump did when he took office was turn that around … he decided to start let cops do their job, put the handcuffs on the criminals instead of (on) us.”

“Debate the facts with the left,” Kroll closed. “And when their facts don’t hold up for their debate, wait to be called a racist. That’s the easy way out, right? Label. The all-accepting left, ‘Everybody’s welcome here, if you think like we do.'”

Hours later, Kroll was called back up on stage by Trump to cheers from the audience.

..ok so leftist don’t accept people who think like racist and that’s a bad thing?
Anyway the links are about the department and a past rally with lots of trump love .

This speech was made at the rally by the head of the Police Union not the police chief but I wonder if an out MAGA culture in the department may have encouraged emboldened abuse that lead to death ?
Remember when trump encouraged police to be a bit rougher when arresting people ?

As head of the Minneapolis Police Union, he is always there to defend the police, regardless of how heinous their actions might be.

He openly dissed the woman who used to be the Chief of the MPD, and dislikes the current Chief, who is black. He also dislikes the current Mayor of Minneapolis and is open about that.

I have not seen him yet in this situation, but he has issued a statement, calling for no judgment of what we all saw on the video, "pending a thorough investigation."

We saw it, Lt. Bob. We did.
