The meme here is that repugs will always vote in person - come hell or high water, but the Dems need absentee ballots because Dems, in general, are less reliable voters. Dems are also more discouraged by negative ads in the latter part of campaigns so having votes "banked" early helps.

6. Makes sense to me. Until know, they encouraged old folks, shut-ins, deep red state physically

impaired folks and retired veterans to vote by mail as these voters lean heavily their way. Today though, having EVERYONE vote by mail hurts the republiscum party greatly as even the youngest voters are much more likely to cast a ballot (hey, it's fast and free) rather than trying to walk, call Uber or flag down a free ride to the poling station.

Now that WILL hurt the r-scums a lot!
