she hasn't been the county prosecutor since 2006 and at this point she isn't responsible for what's been going on with the MPD - they've been racist assholes since the '70s or before. I used to know a few of them.

she probably wouldn't be the best choice in the face of the current events and in regards to the huge support Biden has been given by the African-American community. Though, wouldn't that be true with regards to Kamala Harris, also?

I think the Biden campagin leaked her name intentionally to gage public reaction. When they saw it was unfavorable they nixed the idea.

I know it looks that way right now but …

Keith Ellison for his own reasons having to do with Minnesota state politics has moved big time into Klobuchar's orbit after the primary.

Coming out of this he will be a strong validator. Plus he is a good bridge to the Bernie camp.

that has produced editorials in support of Assad, reprinted articles from RT, and once claimed that "President Obama is President Bush on steroids." In 2019, a pro-Assad lobby group gave an award to MintPress News and an undisclosed amount of money. They were fans of Tulsi Gabbard and have published editorials claiming there is little difference between Trump and Biden. While Klobuchar's record as a prosecutor certainly deserves examination, that examination might be more objective coming from a less fringey publication.

Of course, she would have been a weak choice even before this happened. But Joe Biden has a strong relationship with black voters *in spite* of a problematic history, so it's tenuous, and it is important that we not just defeat Trump, but wallop him. A Klobuchar selection when issues of criminal justice toward black Americans is becoming a central issue would be a grievous misstep that would dampen turnout.

I love Amy Klobuchar. She would make a great president, and she's been a great senator. I admire her experience, brilliance, and tenacity. But she would absolutely be the worst VP pick. She gets Biden nothing in terms of enthusiasm or demographics. African-Americans? Nope. The Midwest? She came in 5th in Iowa.

I'd rather see Klobuchar as attorney general or in a senate leadership position. Biden is great but candidate but not without his flaws, and the criteria need to be a qualified person who either generates enthusiasm or picks up a part of the coalition Biden struggles with.

I like Amy a lot, but she isn't a good choice for VP this time. I think Joe needs somebody of color. And Amy has absolutely nothing at all to do with George Floyd.

The murder itself -

But she declined to prosecute the perp in a previous incident. Goes to judgment -wouldn't be the best choice to get black voters engaged in gotv.

I would have a hard time knocking on a door for her.

...since that time?

A lot of people got that thug where he is today. I don't know what kind of info Amy K was given back then, but if she is appointed to a Cabinet position she'll have occasion to explain herself, won't she?

As for choosing a VP, Joe Biden will pick someone good that he can work with, and I have few opinions on that. I'm voting against Donald Trump, come hell or high water.

Would this candidate hurt Tom Malinowski, Corey Booker, our Freeholder and two Council Candidates?

I'm voting for the Democratic Party Candidate - because I'm a Democratic Party Member. Even if Trump drops dead tomorrow - I'm all in for my Party, my Party, my Party.

She could suppress black turn out in the great lakes states.

Cops are so used to killing with impunity that they can't even control themselves when cameras are rolling.

Enough!
