Cops Murder One Person All Hell Breaks Loose - 100,000 Die From Neglect / Failure By Trump

Meh......

It's just hard to understand why more people aren't interested in holding Trump accountable while our parents are dying....

Just can't wrap my head around it.

The orange asshole won't even wear a face mask, and is encouraging everyone to risk their lives to help him pump the economy for his election.

It's not that complicated.

we're working hard to keep our Democracy from Trump and we are sick of innocent African Americans being murdered by the Police.

break loose.

But we don't see them dying. Their deaths are not quite abstract, because we see around us every day the societal effects of the virus. And because the New York Times admirably printed a representative sample of the names of the victims. But there are too many of them for us to emotionally process in a meaningful way.

But we saw George Floyd die right in front of us, murdered by another human being, not by an impersonal, motiveless virus.

I tend to get irritated with the "If you care about X, how come you don't care about Y?" questions. They really are ridiculous. Who says we don't care?

When you watch that video, it's like looking right into a dying man's face, and the indifferent smirk of the cop kneeling on his neck, and the bystanders pleading with the cop to stop.

I think most of us can care about both and sometimes I don't know what people are thinking when they try to pit one tragedy against another, like we are incapable of caring about more than one thing at the same time.

The absolutely horrific treatment of blacks in this country escalating over the decades.

Seeing a death right in front of our face which most of us know if done in a certain county or state with right wing racist judges they will find a way to fire but not punish the cops, sometimes even bringing them back after things cool off.

We have got to the point of expecting the worst of any justice for the poor man who was killed.

As far as the 100K most Americans are taking it seriously, even in my conservative town with mall reopened I noticed yesterday almost empty parking lot.

9. And you are sure that this discrepancy is actually happening?

You actually think that people are not outraged about Trump's inaction on COVID-19 and what it has cost 100,000 people and their families? What it has cost all of us?

Maybe you can't wrap your head around it because it isn't really happening.

Why can't people express outrage at yet another police killing of an unarmed Black man with what appears to be depraved indifference after the recent vigilante killing of Ahmaud Aubrey and inaction by the police, we have another situation caught on video showing just how little value is placed on Black lives. Why can't people pause a second and be outraged at that too?

Do we all have to express outrage only at COVID-19 and Trump's incompetence and callous attitude?

The death of one person is a tragedy.

The death of a thousand people is a statistic.

WTH do you expect us to do? Pack our AR's and go out and shoot the fucking virus? Some things need immediate action, like a murder by cop, some things take time.

Without going to prison for a looooong time.

Can't wrap my head around that either.

These cops need to be prosecuted.

Would I complain if 100,000+ pissed off Americans all at once stormed the W.H. and yanked him out of the oval and nothing was left when they were done taking souvenirs?

NOPE, never heard of the man, whose that?

If this was the only time cops did something like this I could maybe see your point but the problems of police brutality & our racist criminal justice system have been here long before Corona.

It is conservatives that likely don't give a shit about both.
