Having accurately pegged Trump as an ignorant cowardly weakling, China has just taken control

of Hong Kong. The US., to its everlasting shame, meekly accepted this "new reality".

Does anyone think Taiwan will not be next?

I think Trump and Putin's plan is to create a new "Axis" powers aligned against China.

This could very well be one of their tools to try to garner support for Trump.

but that's just a theory.

I wish more detail had bee provided. Like you said, Hong Kong, Macau and another place have been autonomous parts of China since Britain handed the over in the late 90s. So just using the term "taken over" causes lots of ambiguity in the minds of some. China may have revoked the "autonomous" part, but it has been slowly doing that for a while.

Hong Kong. That is why Hong Kong streets are filled with protestors and why Pompeo told Congress today that Hong Kong should no longer be treated as "autonomous".

I served in the US Army in Taiwan in 1969-70.
The Communist Chinese bluffed Shrub bu$h over an intelligence aircraft. bu$h, another appointed conservanazi president. Must be part of the conservananzi Party's ideology . Profits over patriotism.
