RUMOR CONTROL ...

We are aware of the social media post that erroneously identifies one of our officers as the person caught on video breaking windows in Minneapolis.

We've seen it. We've looked into it. And it's false.

it could do a lot of damage. There are people there to cause trouble.

I'm just hoping people will withhold judgment for a bit until we know one way or the other.

We all just watched a video where three cops stood and watched while one of their own murdered a man.

Yes, as a matter of fact, those "innocent" cops you talk about ARE tarnished. And should be.

The fact that police refuse to police their own, and haven't for years indicates to me that the "good" cops are just as bad as the overt murderers.

also be charged, I'm sure. In the police manual in Mn. it states Any officers present when excessive force is used MUST stop the illegal assault. They DIDN'T! We are not the only people who believe there was sufficient proof in the video we saw to have made arrests already, but I'm sure the investigators are being extra cautious . There's a reason MOST cases brought against police officers fail to get convictions. It's not worth rushing if it compromises the case.

I watched the video and that was some shady shit. This guy looked like a pro. He was working with a purpose, and he scuttled out of there so quick.

We, and I mean all of us, should know who this guy is and what the story is.

There are a lot of people who would like to see this country fail, or have a second civil war, etc. Putin is just one of them.

Paying someone to start a fire that will certainly escalate tensions is S.O.P. for those guys.

I'm reminded of the days of COINTEL when our Government used agitators.

But you're right. Lots of powerful entities have motives.

https://bringmethenews.com/minnesota-news/st-paul-police-chief-had-all-his-officers-watch-the-george-floyd-video

St. Paul Police Chief Todd Axtell says he had made all of his officers watch the video of George Floyd's arrest, and challenged them to put themselves in Floyd's shoes as they go about their jobs.

The chief says he was "shocked, disgusted, angry and grieving" as footage emerged showing a police officer's knee being placed on Floyd's neck, with the 46-year-old dying at Hennepin County Medical Center shortly afterwards.

Axtell went public with his comments after speaking with his officers, calling the video "beyond disturbing."

"Something went horribly wrong at the intersection of 38th and Chicago, and everyone in law enforcement owes it to themselves, their coworkers, their city and the people they serve to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

"So today I asked every SPPD police officer to watch the horrible video and do something different. I asked them to put themselves in George Floyd’s shoes.

"I asked them to imagine they are on the ground and cannot breathe. Imagine that their only option is to turn to a police officer for help. Imagine the pain, fear and desperation. Then think about how their families would feel later, watching such a video of them, beneath the knee of an officer, with no hope.

What surprised me was that even Rich Stanek, the former Hennepin County Sheriff (and a real asshole) critized the Minneapolis police actions in this case.

He wasn't pronounced dead until arrival to the HCMC, but he didn't have a pulse when he was treated by EMTs.

A minor, but not unimportant detail, IMO.

Thanks for the link to the story!

Must've been holding onto it for just such an occasion! Years later, his patience paid off!

Am I sure the allegations are true? Nope. But this tweet means nothing to me. How about those fake police reports? I have seen far too many to blindly trust what is said here. When you sow seeds of lies, you reap distrust, and that's a huge problem.
A white male who was dressed in a manner to protect his identity, was smashing windows. What has law enforcement done to follow-up on this, other than this tweet? I haven't heard anything.
