Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s drug related corruption.

2. Seems to (possibly) make it a personal grievance the cop might have had, eh?

"Chauvin was our off-duty police for almost the entirety of the 17 years that we were open," Santamaria said. "They were working together at the same time, it's just that Chauvin worked outside and the security guards were inside."

It's a hell of a piece of news, for sure -

RIP, George Floyd

with all the other regular security guards were working the same shift as he, part of the job. Even if he weren't a cop who'd naturally be aware of strong, muscled young men in any setting.

More & more it seems like murder - now just possibly premeditated murder. Not just racism but some grudge to be settled.

Just hoping all the facts come out. "Beau of the Fifth Column"s instincts are probably right. Along with the OP info, I'd guess there's enough evidence to prove that this was indeed a murder. IF the info is allowed to surface.

Since they worked different parts of the club and so far aren't known to have interacted in any special way, though, Floyd may not have been aware of any special enmity.
