Ok it's time for someone to call for an end to the violent protests.

Someone has to stop this now. I'm sure the president will do nothing but fuck this up more. Anger for not being heard is understood and now is the time to step back and listen for a response. Please enough violence and destruction for now and give the serious people a chance to engage each other. There are people who want to actually work toward solving problems, let's give them a chance.

If not the President, who has the authority to call for an end to the violence? Who would even listen?

He's also the main cause of the pandemic; having deliberately failed to address it like almost every civilized nation has.

There seem to be some rather suspicious white dudes walking around, casually trying to stir up trouble and encourage looting by breaking windows at businesses. Stop sending undercover cops into the midst of the demonstrations to foment violence.

That's the only way this ends. And as long as they don't arrest them, it's going to get bigger and spread to more cities.

Mentioning Trump and Barr multiple times was surely designed to fan the flames. That was a clear signal that they intend to block justice.

The rioting needs to end before more lives are lost. It is all to easy to imagine one of last night's fires spreading to housing, or a frightened store owner firing blindly into a crowd.

and government building and demand this. You can be heard without being violent. I hope all the protesters and those who are interested are registered and plan on voting or running for office themselves. The sooner the problem people are removed the better it will be.

...calling for martial law and summary execution of someone affected by those dire situations, determined to steal, is barbaric nonsense.

What is it about the inhumanity of shooting unarmed people (with live rounds, even) that escapes you?

I am a white guy living in the most renown entitled and privileged suburb just south of minneapolis whose residents are labeled cake eaters and even I can tell you that the AA population HAS BEEN WAITING AND LISTENING AND NOT A DAMNED THING IS BEING DONE FOR THEM. Of course I grew up on the east side if saint paul and the midway area as well so I have been exposed to the shit that goes on in these communities. But look, it has been decades. Hell longer than that.... AA and POC built this damned country and they are continually held down by the system devised for white folk by white folk. They get treated like shit every damned day. I have to imagine (I have to because I am a white male) that people telling them to calm down and listen and work through it is infuriating on a level that we cannot even imagine.

I don’t like seeing buildings burning and all of that but when they kneel we tell them no. When they march we don’t ask why. When they speak we as a nation pay lip service in return. When they ask for mercy we kill them.

This is about George Floyd.... But it isn’t JUST about George Floyd.

Playing bu the tules is NOT working and us on the sidelines saying that they need to continue to work within the system isn’t helping.

It won't get better until some sense of justice is served. Freeman neglected to say it was a black cop he got convicted. You can't hold that disastrous of a press conference and not get that exact result.
