About the Good vs evil thing.

Somewhere along the line, "good" and "evil" became identified with religious dogma. As a devout agnostic, I believe that good and evil exist outside of the parameters of religion.

Any sane, rational person looking at America today, would find it hard to reject the obvious conclusion that evil is currently in control of almost all the levers of power. And that evil, -- Trump, the Republican Party, and bigots and haters everywhere, -- are using their power to destroy virtually everything that most of us believed to be a just country (with many flaws).

IMO, most of white America stands with black America that is now protesting the 400 years of oppression that never ended and continues to this very moment. And it's my opinion that they will soon be joined by all Americans that know that something has gone radically wrong with our country. We are "owned" by a minority of super-wealthy people who don't give a damn about rules, decency, the constitution, or anything else except for their personal wealth, power, and control over the rest of us.

Those fires in Minneapolis are terrifying the ruling class because they see it as a threat to their rule. And make no mistake about it. They will retaliate.

But whatever they do to hold onto their domination of the rest of us. they're days are numbered. We've watched them give themselves trillions in tax breaks while fucking everyone else in need during this pandemic. And as painful as it is to say this, perhaps this pandemic is a blessing in disguise. Perhaps all those who have lost their jobs, who can't get unemployment insurance that they paid for, who don't know what comes next in their lives, will finally catch on that the powers that be don't care whether they live or die.

This period is more than just about an election. It's perhaps an era in which we can finally defeat those seeking to overthrow Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare, civil rights, voting rights. and so much more. Perhaps we have hit a point where we can overthrow the evil that has taken over America. And perhaps we can bury their ideology once and for all.

4. Well, Ralph Nader *did* say it'll have to get worse before it'll get better.

But as much as I'd like to think we're bumping along the bottom now and it can't get any worse, I've thought that before -- and been proven wrong every time.

thinking along these same lines.

There is a Lakota prophecy that basically states "When the time has come, there will be born a new people, a new type of warrior (I hate that tRump* uses that word for his muppets) will come from the mist, from the gathering of the Red, Black, Yellow, and White people, they will be the 'Rainbow Warriors' they will ban together to bring about the change and to save the planet." (that is paraphrased...because, memory). And a Hopi prophesy about having to go underground for 3 yrs. and when we come out, the sun will rise in the West. BTW, the Hopi prophesy is NOT literal, but, in their belief West is the place where our ancestors live. It means change.

We have to decide if we want Utopia or Dystopia, because, whether we like it or not, the time to make that choice is now.

And not just white people stand with our Black brothers and sister, the Natives, the Asians, The Latinx, We stand together as one, as family.

The change you describe is long overdue. And I truly believe there are millions who share your view of humanity standing together as one family.

And now is really the time to dislodge the small minority in power. They have truly brought evil upon us all. We have the power to do it. All we need is the will.

We are, our country is, our decency and our democracy is under attack from trump, the republicans, and Rupert Murdock and Fox "news", and all of their gun-toting terrorists.

We need to defeat, by any means, the terror that we are now living under.
