A troop of monkeys attacked a lab technician in India and stole blood samples of patients who tested positive for COVID-19, authorities confirmed on Friday.
According to Reuters, the eccentric attack happened this week after a laboratory technician was walking on the campus of a state-run medical college in Meerut near Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh state.
Monkeys grabbed and fled with the blood samples of four COVID-19 patients who are undergoing treatment ... we had to take their blood samples again, said S.K. Garg, a top medical official at the college.

(13,517 posts)steal anything and everything. You remember the commercial where the monkeys stole the guys credit card, well that is exactly what they are like. I remember in Thailand, one monkey stealing a ladies wallet, he eventually dropped it when everyone was trying to chase him. In Sri Lanka, we were advised to keep out deck doors closed to the hotel room, we were on the 4th floor of the hotel. I went out on the deck at one point and watched a few monkeys playing around on a deck a couple of doors down and then they came to ours, about 8 of them. They stole an ashtray that was on a table on the deck and threw it over the railing and they were trying to open the balcony door to our room, little shits.

(17,014 posts)Monkeys are a lot genetically closer to humans than dogs or cats. Glass vials break. Monkeys check out their haul, cut their fingers, taste the blood. Get it on their faces. Wipe their asses. Groom each other and lick their fingers. Spread it to their troop. Spread it to other troops. Government decides to kill all the monkeys in the area. Continue....
