Don't those guys at the Alamo realize they're leaving themselves wide open to a sneak attack through the basement?

Part of the hagiography that passed for history in my schooling of the 1950s and ‘60s. Along with the Lost Cause of the Confederacy.

Most people don’t have a clue about how we got here.

The only things I remember from the visit:

1. There were signs all over the place reminding you that it was a sacred spot, so please do not take photographs (but if you really wanted one, they were for sale at the gift shop).

2. As I joined my group, who were already at the pinball arcade across the street, I noticed the markers in the ground denoting the original location of The Alamo before they moved it to improve traffic flow.
