Little by little the look of the country changes

because of the men we admire.

I've posted this more than once, and no one here seems to know it. Which is horrifying to me. It's from the movie Hud. Look it up. It is, far and away. the most prescient thing ever.

I did not see that movie when it first came out. I eventually saw it in 1982, and nearly fell of my couch when I heard that line.

It is, far and away, (at the risk of repeating myself) the most prescient line ever.

It is still powerful today. Just pay attention.
