Although, he said it was due to start in 2012.

Either, it took this long to spin up or President Obama's calming influence delayed it.

Nothing but smoke and helicopters overhead. I had new eyeglasses waiting for pickup in Hollywood but couldn't get near the place, which was closed anyway. I remember the looters, the Koreans with guns protecting their businesses, and Reginald Denny getting pulled out of his truck and beaten.

I must have seen at least 15 cop cars on the way there, many helicopters circling downtown LA. There were also a ton of cops at the Citadel, which is a giant outlet mall south of LA. So yeah there's some serious shit going on right now.
