As a New Yorker, I can honestly say this.

If you piss off New Yorkers, especially the people of New York City, look out. Protests broke out all over New York State last night. Things got ugly in New York City. The murder of Floyd has lit a fire storm across this country. In my opinion, there are two cities in our country that you better pay attention to if major protests break out, New York City and Boston.

In that they won’t burn down a building. They’ll fight the cops. The cops go hard too. That why the most ridiculous direct clashes were there.

And I agree about Boston. It’s why these two cities are the last to get crazy. It’s bad for everyone.

Boston is planning a protest tonight. New York City last night, Boston tonight. I love the smell of righteous rebellion in America.

As a former New Yorker and Bostonian, now living in Chicago (with long stops in Buffalo and Minneapolis in between), I can assure you that the rest of the country has plenty of potential for anger and action. The sirens were blaring here from early evening and were still wailing at 6:30 this morning. Michigan Avenue and the Loop have been, smashed to smithereens, the National Guard has been called in, trains and buses into the Loop have been stopped and highway ramp exits into the city closed.

New York and Boston only seem essentially important if you happen to be living there. Boston is the most racist city I’ve ever lived in. I’ll give you that.

if even that small city has 1000 plus protesting en masse, then it is really widespread.

get together for this little national event. It's far too big and too coordinated not to be part of what Putin's been bragging he'd do.
