Philly is falling apart:

I’m watching NBC10 so no link:

The curfew is from 6PM to tomorrow. All retail businesses were ordered to close immediately. There’s not just looting and breaking in center City but all over. The city is in lockdown. They of course are in practice since they militarized the city when the Pope visited. The preparations for the Pope were used as an excuse to heavily arm and put surveillance into place. It’s like London here.

Where I work is an utter disaster area: almost all stores’ windows have been smashed and I don’t know if I still have a dental office and if anyone could even come out. My first day is Tuesday. We shall see.

has a reputation for restraint. Hopefully the new commissioner Outlaw handles this well and also brings down the city’s murder rate.

Stay safe, PCIntern and those in Philly.
