Riots and looting ALL over the city. South side, north side, suburbs, malls, banks, pharmacies. The cops are overwhelmed and it appears to be highly organized. Groups pull up in cars smash windows, fill the cars with loot, and another group pulls up. It's 3 blocks from his house. Calumet City is locked down. Apparently they sealed off the Loop, and everything else is getting hit.

Pretty much every neighborhood is being hit at the expense of the downtown area being saved today. The suburbs have also been hit today. I'm about 45 miles outside of the city and they have locked down our downtown area.

And Russia has been working to sow chaos around this election, and now we know one of the forms it's taking. (I suspect the outstanding chaos of the Iowa caucuses kicking off our primary voting was probably augmented by Russia also, despite denials.)

The now-deleted tweet The Donnie is responding to is from someone spreading potentially violent QAnon garbage, but a snapshot of the tweet is at the bottom.

Cordicon’s tweet included a Trump rally highlight reel and a message to his audience that they are “the calm before, during, & after the storm.” Cordicon’s tweet appears to be a reference to “The Storm,” a QAnon concept that imagines Trump and the military suddenly arresting and either executing or imprisoning top Democrats. Trump responded to the tweet with a one-word message of his own: “STRENGTH!” Shortly after Trump retweeted the message, Cordicon’s account was suspended.

People were in the streets celebrating... and then it turned into hours and hours of arson rioting and looting.

For the next 5 championships they had to have PSAs from Phil Jackson and Michael Jordan telling them to celebrate responsibly.

I never did understand how being happy that your team won translates into rioting.

Fire trucks came by and everybody fled when they heard the sirens. They saw it was fire trucks, and everybody just went back. Kids grabbing 12 packs of Diet Dr. Pepper, then just dumping them on the sidewalk. This is fucking bananas.
