Dan Rather: I can imagine no other president in my lifetime failing to address the nation in a prime

I can imagine no other president in my lifetime failing to address the nation in a prime time speech during a crisis such as this. On the other hand, I cannot imagine another president whose words would be less welcome by so many of his fellow citizens.

the country in a time of extraordinary crisis - and bizarrely, that's actually good, because if he did, he could be counted on to say exactly the wrong thing.

They have been speaking out and that's all they can do - for now.

If the orange shitgibbon gets millions and millions of free advertising from the media, so should Biden. He should use the opportunity to share vision and positivity. Have the media latch on and cover the democratic message ad inifinitum like they did with the nazi currently occupying the WH back in 2015 and 2016. Using a chaotic and tragic series of events to one’s advantage should not be limited to republicons only - even if it makes me want to vomit.

I would cook some nice BLTs with ingredients from the garden. One could only hope...

But seriously, I was just saying that I would like to see more from the media. And by “more”, I mean fair coverage.

Yes, he has been all over and being the voice of reason, courage, and class. I miss having a real president and I hope Biden is our next president in just a few months!

No one will believe him if it's an attempt to promote unity because he's spent his entire presidency pissing on people.

He has no empathy, no sympathy, no wisdom, no knowledge, no understanding, no compassion, no courage, no integrity. He isn't even capable of faking any of those things. I'm amazed someone managed to persuade him to keep his damn mouth shut for this long.

only, he's such a chicken, he'd pull his tent stakes in the middle of the night and bolt out of town rather than address the nation and say, "I quit".

Instead of trying to show some true leadership for all Americans this POtuS rage tweets, relishing the prospect of violence against people protesting police brutality.
