The day after Trump was elected I started an emergency fund. I did not know what form it would take, but I knew the Trump presidency would end in total chaos, destruction and death.

When Trump was elected I knew I was witnessing the greatest act of lunacy, nihilism, in my lifetime. It was clear, Trump was completely corrupt. He was ignorant as hell, completely unqualified to do the job. Tens of millions of Americans ignored all of it. I knew I was witnessing one of the greatest acts of self destruction in history.

I have been a member of DU for a long time. Most, if not all of my posts took place after Trump was elected. I knew.

Shit, I ended up homeless five months into this regime, lived in my car for ten fucking months in a northern state with very few social services which were also being drastically deleted or diminished during the same time. But I knew it was coming the morning I awoke to find the election results. I went into shock for a short time but was quickly in survival mode.

I have known all my life that the party would be over when I got to this age, I had hoped to be better situated financially but, oh well, at least I am in the location I had in mind.

This is where We the People make it clear that we aren't interested in being fascists and that an assessment of values is in order. Hope we get it right.
