Who do you like for 2024 (if there is an election, if we are even alive)?

I know, Trump has amazing abilities to shoot himself in the foot. But he always seems to come out of it.

And now the riots are a gift to him.

I am TRYING to maintain hope. But seeing SO MANY people acting SO STUPID and destructive. Yes, there are undoubtedly some QAnon and other Trump extremists agitating. But that does not account for all of it.

Please talk me down. PLEASE tell me why this nation isn't completely screwed.

COVID-19. Learning I have cancer. And watching Trump slither his way back to four more years of devastation. 2020 is horrible. I'm not sure if I want to proceed with a radical cystectomy and a lifetime of sickness just to witness this.

This year is such a gut punch.

Strangely (or perhaps not), I am not all that freaked out about my own personal situation, beyond what effect my passing would have on others. I have been blessed with a full, varied, rich life, with some amazing adventures and accomplishments, along with the sense that I survived some dark depths of heartache, loss, and poverty. I would rather live longer, but I do not feel cheated in life (unlike FAR too many people).

What worries me, what scares me, is the world beyond me. The world after me. I see the children all around, and I cannot help but worry what kind of poisoned, authoritarian world are we leaving them?

Very pissed.

My comment on the VP trying for a term in 2024 assumes that Biden calls it good after one term. I wouldn’t expect his VP to try to primary him.

When we haven’t even won an election, someone is planning for Joe to what... quit?
I can’t believe it’s even a question.

“Talk him down”.

Okay, sorry about your health problems.
Please focus on them and not your idea about losing the election. That part is bullshit.

Edit: I checked the profile.
