JUST IN: President Trump unloads on the nation's governors on a call, calls on them to step up enforcement: "You have to dominate, if you don’t dominate you’re wasting your time. They’re going to run over you, you’re going to look like a bunch of jerks. You have to dominate."

In audio obtained by @CBSNEws, Trump tells governors: "Washington was under very good control, but we’re going to have it under much more control. We’re going to pull in thousands of people." (more)

MORE: Trump tells governors: "You’ve got to arrest people, you have to track people, you have to put them in jail for 10 years and you’ll never see this stuff again," per audio obtained by @CBSNews

One person listening in on the call describes the president's words and tone as "unhinged."

On the call, Trump references Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Milley and Attorney General Bill Barr. "We will activate Bill Barr and activate him very strongly," Trump says.

are cognizant of his mental decline and unfitness for office. When is the GOP going to step in and force him to resign? If they don't they're facing another 40 years without a majority in either the house of senate.

This is what it sounds like to me.

Trump has lost all sense of reason. He believes a boot and baton to the head is what is needed here. The streets will run red with blood before all is said and done.

I PRAY that does not happen.

@DanRather
Trump in a call with governors says "most of you are weak" and demands a tougher response. That's sort of like an arsonist blaming the fire department.

I'm in touch with someone who's on the governors' call with President Trump right now. They and others listening in are alarmed. The president is urging governors to take back the streets, not be "weak," and use force as the nation faces growing racial unrest.

More: President Trump just berated governors and mayors for how they are handling the protests, calling them "fools," per person on the call.

Aides to governors say the president continues to talk. One describes it as a "rant." Says he keeps talking about the need to "dominate" the protests.

A second person on call says Trump's "fools" comment was more of a warning, saying if the governors didn't take more action on the protests, they'd look like "fools."

President Trump just compared this current national crisis to a "war" on the call with governors, per a person on it. And he urged the governors to "fight back." Monday, just before noon eastern.

22. You Have To Track People?.....

What about the contact tracking?

For Covid-19 he should have been saying: You have to test people. You have to do contact tracking. And you have to isolate them - and that's the way we'll whip this virus.

You have to dominate. If you don't dominate you're wasting your time. The virus will run over you.

And guess what - if he would have followed his own advice for Covid-19 he probably would have saved thousands of lives.

He looks like a fool.

And I'm only using his own words and applying them to the pandemic.

He is a fool - an incompetent one.

Did he forget that we still have an on-going pandemic?

Will we be shocked when the MSM starts reporting the numbers of deaths again?

Trump slams governors as ‘weak,’ urges crackdown on protests

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump on Monday derided the nation’s governors as “weak” and demanded tougher crackdowns on protesters in the aftermath of another night of violent protests in dozens of American cities.

Trump spoke to governors on a video teleconference with law enforcement and national security officials, telling the local leaders they “have to get much tougher” amid nationwide protests and criticizing their responses.

“Most of you are weak,” Trump said. “You have to arrest people.”

The days of protests were triggered by the death of George Floyd, a black man who died after he was pinned at the neck by a white Minneapolis police officer. They turned violent in several cities, with looting and mayhem, and fires ignited in the historic park across from the White House.

On the call, the Gov. of Maine told the president that she was concerned about the president showing up in her state later this week. Said she was concerned that it would cause security problems.
