Do the Govenors hold any power of a majority to call for resignation/removal?

Just asking. I don't know what their limits are in such a dangerous situation as this.

Or would this get close to a Constitutional convention, which is exactly what the GOP/Reich wing would love?

Asking...& thanks

No. The only option would be a 25th Amendment action, and that won't happen... Wounded Bear Jun 2020 #4

I'm betting those governors are talking to their republican senators and to McConnell.
Only McConnell & the upper GOP can do the Goldwater goes to talk to Nixon event.

McConnell can salvage his Party or he can gamble on Trump.

But even if all 50 state governors plus the territory governors did so as a group it would not remove him.

A Constitutional Convention call would have to be from the state legislatures. It would be the biggest, most disastrous circus in history.

We're kind of stuck with Trump until next January.
