Gov Whitman to Dump: Go back to your bunker and let the real leaders solve our problems.

Governor Christine Todd Whitman ✔ @GovCTW - 12:14 PM - Jun 1, 2020

@realDonaldTrump, Please stop injecting yourself into crises. Don’t try to tell governors what to do. Instead of calling for calm & for the nation to unite, you were sequestered in the White House basement & silent.

Governors and mayors, on the other hand, were actively engaged in trying to bring order to their cities and towns. The #NationalGuard has been deployed across the country and most of the demonstrations were largely peaceful. While you only seem to feel the need for the use of more force, local elected leaders tried to control things in a way that will allow them to build for the future.

While you just want to condemn people, real leaders are acknowledging the very real racial issues we are facing. In times like this, real leaders step up, and deal with the immediate problems while acknowledging the need for reform at all levels: police, eduction, housing, economic opportunity & more.

This country desperately needs a real leader at the helm to deal with our racial issues, the #coronavirus, all those who are out of work, climate change and the myriad of other issues facing us. We need a leader to plan for the future.

You, Mr. #President, are not that leader. In fact, you are making things worse on almost every front. Please, go back to your bunker and let the real leaders solve our problems.

SICK BURN, GOVERNOR!

A Jersey girl with the right stuff.

Republicans like Whitman need to stand up to Trump and his enablers. To remain silent is a disservice to the country and the American people. The GOP is no longer the loyal opposition; they're the enemy inside the tent.

Never forget, never forgive.

We have given him chance after chance to grow into the position of President of the United States
Of America. We know now it will never happen. Many of us knew it before he took the oath of office but others were willing to give him a chance.

His chance is over. It won’t happen.

So now what we need for him to do is just shut up. Don’t lumber up to the podium to spew further words of division. Words designed to enrage some and dishearten others. But nothing that will soothe or calm us.

We do not want to hear another fricken word out of his nasty mouth. Not one more word. If he won’t resign, just shut the F up. We have had quite enough of him.

I hope he understands this. He is done. Hide in the bunker, go to Mara Lago. Stand on your head for all we care. Nov. is coming and your term will officially end. Thank goodness. Now go away.

Why, beyond the whole "takes not prisoners" thing? How about her years as Dubya's EPA administrator? The one who told NYers the air at Ground Zero was safe then later admitted she was wrong and apologized?

She was in charge of the EPA, and everyone thought she was ordered to say that by the Bush Administration

Look, she was once my governor and normally I would have bad things to say. But in the spirit of unity against the reprobate Trump I won’t say a bad thing about her here and now.

The almost cosmic evil that Trump is, we must unite behind getting him out of office and nurture allies to do that.

Trump is a universal evil, a monumental societal and civilizational atrocity on the level of a Hitler and that will manifest itself if he wins again.

In fact, it already has started with the COVID 19 fiasco where if we would have had any kind of president other than him they would have saved thousands of lives.

Go Whitman!

Enough like that from sitting governors and Trump will be goaded into invoking the Insurrection Act and send in the active duty troops. They go around armed, locked and loaded, when they carry out their duties
