He needs to resign immediately

Nobody thought that he would try to divide the country during a pandemic, but he did.

He is not capable of bringing the country together.

Even with violent protests and riots in the street, he feels no need to calm the waters. Instead, he pours gasoline on the fires. He is unfit to sit in the office of the presidency, even for one more day.

Republicans have put themselves into an uncomfortable and untenable position of defending Donald Trump. They have no choice but to defend incompetence. They have to conceal the fact that their President is a threat to our national security.

Otherwise, they may not get re-elected in November?

So, they are gambling that the voters will not hold them accountable.

They are who they are.

Remember this name - Smedley Butler - many in the military are loyal to the constitution.

4. Saying he "needs to resign" is pointless. He should never have run, should never have been elected,

and his illegitimate win should never have been allowed to stand. We're about 19 steps past "he needs to resign" and saying so is pointless. Saying that intimates the tiniest hope that he has one iota of human decency in himself to do the right thing. Nyet.

What "needs" to happen, is he should be removed from office. Immediately. I don't know the constitution, but there's got to be some provision for the house and senate to remove a president who is openly and wantonly engaging in criminal acts, and abandoning the duties of the office.

What "needs" to happen is a delegation of military police dragging him out of the White House by the scruff of his neck, throwing him down on the White House lawn in front of God and everybody, faceplanted with a knee on his neck, handcuffed, and dragged to jail.

None of these needful things are going to happen. We have to hold on for dear life, get through this summer and pray that our vote is so overwhelming that they cannot cheat him another win. Calling for him to resign is as useless as.......nuking a hurricane.

which is a direct result of his fucked up, delayed handling of the epidemic. I hope this point can be driven like a nail into his political coffin.
