Oh shit. CNN reporting tear gas may be employed.

I had original commented on how in Portland the police seemed to have been using tear gas and flash bangs as a last resort. Typically late night/early morning when those bent on vandalizing and looting hijacked the peaceful protests of the day.
This situation in DC appears to have been an unprovoked use of tear gas.
