I'm old enough to remember the 60's Watts riots. This country always pulled through in times of tragedy, unrest. It is different this time. An immoral, corrupt, uncaring, dictator regime and GOP machine has been successful in spreading propaganda right out of the Russian playbook to many low information, cultists, lacking education or critical thinking. I am holding on by a thread to hope. I have to believe if our democracy and constitution are being destroyed, a coup, takeover vis-a-vis Hitler's rise, that Pelosi, Schiff, Nadler, Harris, Swallwell, Obama, and all leaders would step in joined by Supreme court to stop it. Hoping if it should happen the west coast states will split off from the union. We can live in a democracy there!

Lived thru the 60s and early 70s and those were scary times too. Been ruffed up by a cop and had guns pulled on me 4 times and lived thru it all with only a bite mark on my left wrist. That happened when I grabbed a pistol away from a guy high on drugs and had it pointed at me and he bit me when I took it in the struggle. You don't think, you just act.

My GF hates guns, but tonight she had me give her a quick lesson with a 22 pistol and 20 gauge shotgun. Just in case because we live near some trumpsters that know we are Dems.

I don't expect anything in our area, but prepared to go down fighting if we have to.
