(27,800 posts)I agree with you entirely. He can seem perfectly fine, reasonable, and intelligent (which I believe he is, intelligent, that is), and then it's like a coiled viper rose from its nest. I don't find him trustworthy.

(6,930 posts)She finally agrees with me. And THAT never happens lol!
He is the king of two sides are the same. He believes the dems should work with the repubs, like WTAF, they are complete moron obstructionists. Cannot stand him, and haven't for a few years now.

what it was? Is it too terrible for anyone in this thread to tell us?
This is strangely mysterious.

(7,947 posts)"supporting" Jones's criminal justice program (I think it's to help released inmates reenter society). He kept praising Trump in a sort of defensive way-- "I know none of you like Trump, but I'll always be grateful...."
He was so clearly bending over backwards to seem all fair and impartial. It got ridiculous. Okay, so maybe Trump allowed something Jones supported to happen, but we know he just as well could have destroyed the program just because-- because nothing matters to him, and most everything else Trump has done was bad for the people Jones wanted to help.
It was just too ... performative. Jones was all "I am such an even-handed fellow!"
My friend who came with me (who prides himself on being "non-partisan/independent" ) was impressed by this, but I thought it all sounded like he too was getting off on being more mature than those of us who think we all have reason to consider Trump the worst ever.
What did they call them in France? Collaborationists? Vichy?
