I'll tell my Kent State story again, seems a good time

I was going to KSU in 77-78, awhile after the shootings there. I grew up close by and my brother was going to school there when the shootings took place. I was being a security guard on weekends to make some money. Basically we’d watch these factories over the weekend and it kept their fire insurance low. Most of us were college kids. They called me in for a shift on Friday afternoon. That shift started before the workers left and as part of the job we were supposed to check the guys lunch boxes to see if the were stealing anything. I felt like a real idiot doing it, they made natural gas meters, not something that had a high street value.

Anyways, one of the guys asked me if I was a college kid and did I go to KSU? I told him yeah, and he said you know I was one of those guys who was saying “they should have shot a few more” when it happened (heard that a lot in 1970), “but now I look back and see what a terrible thing it was”. The dumbasses that are calling for violence, like our Coward in Chief, really don’t think it through. I think many people would be like this guy after the fact. I just wish some of them would step back and think if through.
