Love these clowns - keep begging people to go home at the curfew time, while

your cities get destroyed. Rioters/looters aren't even waiting for it to get dark anymore!

At least 40 cities imposed curfews and National Guard members have been activated in at least 23 states and Washington, DC.

Wake up Mayor and Governors, your cities are burning. Your toothless curfews aren't working. NYC was an example of a disaster last night. Even before the 11pm curfew took effect, even before dusk, things were so bad, the mayor said it would be 8pm today.

New York City is bracing for its second night of curfew Tuesday, one that will be imposed three hours earlier than Monday's, after "packs of youth" took to the streets overnight and looted stores across Manhattan and the Bronx.

...

Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said earlier Monday on NBC's "Today" that he worried about whether a curfew would be heeded.

"If people think it will, they don't understand what's going on," he said.

Its been a week of the bullshit, and its getting worse, not better.

Wake the fuck up!!

The cities would be safer if there were LOTS of people out and about at all hours to monitor and/or film bad actors. There aren’t enough cops to do the job, much less good cops.

We have seen several example of citizens stepping up to help like this.

Unfortunately the looters use the crowds as distractions and cover. Cops can’t be everywhere and the looters are organized enough to take advantage

I live four blocks from 38th and Chicago and can tell you for a fact that the vast majority of my neighbors fully support the curfew.

So do most of the more activists among us.

Frankly everybody needed help identifying those people.

That doesn’t mean that curfews make anyone safer. I think that they make the situation worse.

Care to argue how these curfews have done any good, whatsoever?

So what good do they do? All they do is abandon our public spaces to the bad actors while law-abiding citizens are forced to stay home.

Not a good idea.

They’re peaceful protests, almost universally.

Besides, eliminating the curfews wouldn’t FORCE anyone to go outside if they didn’t want to.

There are protests too but their message is being drowned out by rioters and looters.

which is a rather loaded topic.

Then again, i'm not sure what else might work given that even usage of the national guard isn't making an impact.

Getting tired of this country facing huge problems with no good solutions.

If a lot of people were on the streets filming, the bad actors who want to loot or set fires would think twice before acting. There aren’t enough cops to do this job.

with at least 20 people all standing around recording it with cell phones. They could have easily stopped it, but were more interested in recording it for social media instead.

I don’t want them trying to make a citizen’s arrest. The police may be able to identify the bad actors from the video and take appropriate action. Either way, I am convinced that active filming by the peaceful people will deter the bad actors among us.

If you have photos, videos, or accounts of the Columbus Division of Police using excessive force over the weekend, please send as much detail as possible to reportCPD@columbus.gov. Your information will be investigated by a civilian (outside the chain of command) from the Department of Public Safety’s Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance Office, created last year to address discrimination complaints.
