?
A group of protesters formed a human chain around a lone police officer after he got separated from his unit. Pictures from the protest show several black men linking their arms to shield the white officer from a hostile crowd in Louisville, Kentucky. The men stepped in after the officer was allegedly threatened by other protesters, and waited for his back-up to arrive.
According to local reports, the men had organised the protest for Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old black woman who, according to a lawsuit, was shot dead by police officers who burst into her Louisville home and blindly opened fire as she slept.

Heroes! This could have ended so badly.... The cop looks scared, and then amazed.

(18,740 posts)1. we need to see more of this... I just listened to the man who let 60 protesters hide in his house..
..over night. Im listening to Prez Joe on on You tube since I missed it earlier...watching volunteers clean up the streets in Seattle after a night of carnage. These are the stories of real Americans helping each other and America heal.

Their example likely just changed that policeman's life, and thereby all the lives he will come into contact with. Bravo.

I cant stop crying lately. It isnt just because of grief. It also because of all the gestures of kindness and love towards others.
The symbolism in this photo takes my breath away.
