City of OKC Police Chief, Mayor and City Council giving live update on line (zoom)
They are doing citizen responses now and it is heartbreaking listening to the citizens. One of the Councilwomen has been in tears the whole time and you can tell that two other members of the council are being impacted by what they are hearing. I think that I have heard only one totally pro police call. Every other speaker is verbally beating the ever loving crap out of the Police Dept and Police Chief.
Demands for demilitarizing the police department has been mentioned repeatedly. Demands for justice for citizens victims of the police, a few stories of actual bad experiences with the police. Several calls to de-fund the police.
It is brutal listening to the citizens. White citizens are supporting BLM and their demands.
