A new Monmouth poll finds 74% of the American public thinks the country is currently headed on the wrong track.

President Trump’s overall job rating continues on a downward trend with just 42% approving and 54% disapproving.

are i feel a certain kind of hope i have not felt for the US. It is the relief i have felt for race relations in Canada in the last few years. Canada still has issues, don't get me wrong. But it is as if a lid of oppression has been lifted. Racism oppresses everyone in a country. Being free is catchy.

There are progressives who are rightfully worried about the militarization of police forces. There are right wingers who are upset with coronavirus restrictions. And there are folks who may be comfortable right now, who are worried about the looming threats of both inflation and economic collapse. Yes, they can exist together, during the Ford administration, we called it "stagflation".

they've had their boy in the people's house for nearly 4 years, the senate for much longer than that, full-speed stacking judicial seats with incompetent toadies and right-wing yes-men, giving plenty of tax cuts and bailouts to billionaire "job creators", and by their measure we're still on the wrong track.

i wonder what the "right track" even looks like to them, would they know it if they saw it? must be the gas chamber and ovens crowd.

74% thinks the country is on the wrong track, but 42% approve his overall job performance?

Huh? These two things do not match. (And who the hell are those 42%????)

6. Right. There's at minimum a 28% overlap of people who...

... obviously approve of the country being on the wrong track. Hmmm, I dunno, can you think of any major religious group of the country who actually want to see the world's affairs point in a negative direction?
