Facebook product boycott - start now

While it may be difficult to completely remove all facebook products from our lives, we should boycott facebook until after the election. That includes instagram and any other facebook products. Starve their advertizers of users. That's all zuckerberg cares about.

...right up to the point, a few weeks ago, that Instagram demanded I sign up just to view posts.

Hopefully Matt Knight, Amy Mebberson, Owl Kitty and Customer Service Wolf can migrate to other outlets someday, 'coz I miss 'em.

I keep instagram as a teaching tool, helping to guide the many new gardeners COVID seeded. I spend nearly an hour live weekly answering questions.

How about TV, which is also responsible for trump. I've not watched any in 10 years. You???

I was questioned here from my lack of posts, AND that I didn't watch TV. Just wanted to say hi to another non-viewer. I cut cable 10 years ago, and discovered I really liked PBS. So if it does come on, last time being January? It's PBS

Delete Facebook - and not just the app, your account.

Then pressure other shareholders to oust him.

BBC, PBS, DW, Al Jazera, NPR all show up in my news feed, so yeah, I get plenty of news using Facebook as opposed to snide little comments.

I use some of them, but they don’t include information from local museums, the botanical garden, governments, park events, symphony, civic groups, hobby groups and such.

... do not agree. We need a bigger presence on Facebook, Twitter and their ilk. Go to Facebook's DU page and like, share... there are many great sites. Occupy Democrats is a current favorite. If we all leave social media, they will have an advantage.

If Restaurants only use Facebook rather than a website I send them an email telling them that until non Facebook users can read their menus I will not be spending money in their establishment.
