It has never failed him even when he has actually failed. Plus, his long game is infused with a Mobster mentality. Money laundering schemes with actual mobster money (cartel, dictator, compromised party leaders and appointees) from home to all around the world just ensures that he will never fail any challenge.
In short, as Rick Wilson states, “He destroys everything he touches.” He seems hellbent on destroying the world at large by immediately withdrawing the US from the Paris Climate Change Accord. More recently, he halted any US funds to the WHO in the midst of a global pandemic. That’s the global part. His damage to the country he swore to lead is insurmountable. From relaxing environmental restrictions (including the hunting of endangered species) to repealing the Affordable Care Act that gave new hope to millions of American citizens. He only serves himself and his mobster enablers. The GOP of Eisenhower is now a pitiful zombie corpse feeding on those former ideals.
So what do we do? We persist. This pandemic may actually be a gift if we manage it with the guides of science. We DO NOT go back to work unless the workplace is protected with method, distance and PPE. That should include verifiable testing (unlike those BS tests/cures pushed by the Trump Mob) and contact tracing. It’s kind of like a VD, but you didn’t have to have sex. Only a conversation or a choir practice that spewed the virus into the air for anyone nearby to breathe.
If you have an Ivanka, Jared or any of the lesser Trump connections (includes THOTs like Hope Hicks), you must keep your resume in the pool so that you can surreptitiously infect them for a temporary intubation. We don’t want to kill them. We just want to stun them so we can gather the evidence to convict them.
