Not feeling too confident we'll make it to November
If the country managed to make it to November you know what is going to happen. Trump will lose the election and then claim it was rigged. He’s already setting things up for that. It’s 100% guaranteed. Unless by some miracle he actually wins the election, but that ain’t going to happen. So if we do last that long there will come an even greater crisis than those we are in now.
Anyway, I was going to write about something else, which I worry about but seems trivial at the moment. I was thinking about the pandemic that is killing mostly older people. The rethugs are ok with that because it’ll reduce the SS and Medicare rolls. But I realized a lot of old Medicare patients will end up in intensive care which will be very expensive. So I’m waiting to see how they approach that. Letting the old people die while preventing them from undergoing expensive treatments. You know what trump thinks, “they’re old, almost dead anyway”. You sure wouldn’t want to raise taxes or anything so the oldsters will need to die to bolster the economy. At this point in time it’s probably not a major concern but if we weather what’s going on now the infections are going to go up accelerated by loosening restrictions and the mass demonstrations. Then add in the coming hurricane season, predicted to be worse than usual. Seems like that could lead to faster spread of virus.
Since my thoughts are wandering I was thinking of trumps personal wealth. He’s been grifting his entire time in office. It’s by far the most profitable scam he has ever run. He should have stashed many millions, maybe billions from all the shit he’s been doing. But we know he is one of the worst business persons to ever squander his inheritance. If he’s managed to steal 100 million from taxpayers, him and his clan could have parlayed that into 10 million by now. I hope I lived to see the day he’s thrown out of office, convicted of some of his crimes, and judgements that take away any money he still has. But right now I’d settle for the fat fucker to just die and hope we can bounce back from the greatest threat since the civil war.
