... because the cops on base respected the hell out of you cause they didn't know if you were a captains kid or the child of a general or whatever.

I got to inner city KC and witnessed children being physically abused by police ... I knew I had another predator around me and that sucked.

It's like having a couple of surgeons who like to leave surgical knives in their patients, we can't have that

because cops don't often behave that way without direction from the top, and these cops were behaving as a group. If they don't discipline or fire the upper echelon, things will not change long-term.

That said, the offending cops need to have retraining to demilitarize their thinking (thanks to W) and if they can't change, fire them. They need to get reoriented toward being public servants, not servants of the wealthy business class.

... they're not coming out of pocket for these kinda fuck ups.

I bet if the insurance companies tied fucked up acts to PD pensions they'd stop this shit.

I just heard on Hayes the girls friend who was beat with a batton.

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) - 21-year-old Elise Villareal arrived at The Plaza Saturday about 30 minutes before she recorded this video. You see a man yelling at a line of police from the crowd of protestors. “He wasn’t saying anything that was threatening or super disrespectful. He was not showing up to any police officers. He was staying on the sidewalk,” Villareal said.

Kansas City Police Chief Rick Smith says he hasn’t seen the video, so he can’t respond to it.

Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas has seen it but says he can’t make a conclusion without knowing all the facts. “It doesn’t mean we’re the type of people that will look at what’s been done, what’s right and to the extent we need to address anything we do,” Mayor Lucas said.

Villareal admits there were times when protestors were provoking police and officers remained calm. “But in that video, it’s clear to see that the police act and then the crowd responds. It’s not the other way around,” Villareal said. She just wants the department to take responsibility for what she sees as them contributing to an unpeaceful protest.

And trump voted out of office for doing this to people peacefully demonstrating because someone of color was murdered unjustly. trump's ploy is backfiring on him and the Republican party now, while their poll numbers plummet from their disasters they've created.
