Biden now very close to officially being the nominee

Last edited Wed Jun 3, 2020, 07:55 PM - Edit history (2)

Biden is now very close to the required 1991 delegates,CNN has him at 1943 and should pass it most certainly within the next week.

Bernie was unviable and under 15% in quite a few states last night so Biden has picked up the entire slate of them.

DC - Biden 77% - Sanders 10% - 90% in - All 20 will go to Biden
Indiana - Biden 76% - Sanders 14% - 65% in - Biden has been allocated 64 already out of 82
Maryland - Biden 85% - Sanders 6% - 87% in - Biden will take all 96 Delegates
Montana - Biden 75% - Sanders 14% - 82% in - Biden will take at least 16 out of 19
New Mexico - Biden 73% - Sanders 15% - Biden will take at least 27 out of 34
Pennsylvania - Biden 77% - Sander 19% - 51% in - Biden will take at least 137 out of 186
RI - Biden 61% - Sanders 30% - Biden will take at least 17 out of 26
SD - Biden 77% - Sanders 23% - Biden to take 13 out of 16 at least.

So Biden has take at least 408 delegates so far out of 479 delegates available last night.

Biden needs around 48 more delegates to seal nomination.

That Biden would stumble and Bernie would swoop in and get the nomination. At least with Biden clinching next week, his delegates would be in control at the convention no matter what.

& thanks for the OP. I hadn't realized these primaries went on today with everything else going on.

I want to get to the part where Biden is officially the nominee so we can get on with it.

not allocated yet but will go full to Biden. If Sanders does not make 15% in indiana, then Biden will take the whole lot, same in a few other places. Remote chance but it may happen today but most certainly next Tuesday when Georgia and WV vote.

So the poll results are largely irrelevant for anything but making Biden official. I believe that Sarota and Brie-Brie are the two senior Sanders holdouts.
