On Monday, with the country in crisis Donald Trump finds time for a cozy chat with PUTIN

I saw a one line mention in another news article that immediately before Trump's infamous conference call with the nations governors (you know the one where he threatened the use of military force to "dominate" the protesters) Trump had been on the phone with......

you guessed it Vladimir Putin.

The stated purpose of the call was to get Russia back into the G7. But you can't help but wonder if Vlad was also advising Donald how to suppress free speech.

U.S. President Donald Trump called Russian President Vladimir Putin Monday to tell him about his proposal to convene an international summit that would involve Russia, the Kremlin said.

Trump said Saturday he will postpone until the fall a meeting of the G7 leading industrialized nations that he had planned to hold next month, and plans to invite Russia, Australia, South Korea and India. Trump told reporters that he feels the current makeup of the group is “very outdated” and doesn’t properly represent “what’s going on in the world.”

The G7 members are Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. Russia had been included in the gathering of the world’s most advanced economies since 1997, but was suspended in 2014 following its invasion of Ukraine and annexation of Crimea.

The Kremlin said Monday that Trump told Putin about his idea, but it didn’t offer any details of the discussion or say whether the Russian leader accepted the invitation.

Donnie is infamous for "you can tell who he talked to last" because that becomes his new talking point of the day.

So put on (or perhaps better to say, "put in" ) your best fake Russian accent and guess who said something like...

"My friend, you can see for yourself what the weakness of the governors has brought, how it's just encouraged chaos. They're the laughing stopcock of the world. You cannot be gentle when dealing with terrorists like this. You must be strong. You must dominate. A strong leader does not talk to thugs like this, he shows them who is in charge. Do what is necessary, send them to prison for 10 years, do these things and they will crumble. You must dominate."

would a) appeal to Trump's need to appear strong and b) further divide the country.
