General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsYesterday I had a conversation with a Pendejo45 supporter ...
She tells me "You're not going to like this, but George Soros is funding the protesters and violence".
This is a very smart person, yet has zero critical thinking skills.
She hears this and she just automatically repeats it like it was based on fact?
No critical thinking nor investigation into its accuracy?
I don't know how she will feel when she finds out everything she thinks she knows is wrong.
A quick google search during our conversation, I texted her this article (She hung up)
George Soros is "funding the chaos" in Minneapolis via his Open Society Foundations.
Feel free to use this info when you hear others spout this dribble.

Very sad.

(37,160 posts)...that the protesters and vandals got their marching orders straight from the Kremlin.
However, that's a Republican gig these days, though it may still be true for a portion of the vandals.

(14,857 posts)Why do you suppose she will ever find out that everything she thinks she knows is wrong? It's much more likely that she will go to her grave believing the exact same stupid shit that she believes now.

(8,914 posts)She's also told me that she hated how much Obama went golfing.
When I informed her that Pendejo45 has golfed almost as much in 3.5 years as Obama had in 8 years, she wouldn't believe it.

She said that she didn't like that tax payers paid for Michelle Obama's vacation with family (i.e. mother, sister, ...)
When I informed her that Michelle paid for it out of her own pocket, except for Secret Service protections plus room & board, she wouldn't believe it.

She said that she was against Hillary because of the 4 people killed in Benghazi.
When I informed her that congress held 11 hearings on Benghazi and HRC sat answering 11 hours of questioning yet never indicted HRC, she wouldn't believe it.

Also, when I informed her that more people were killed in Embassies, Consulates and outposts under GW McIdiot's 4 years, she had no problem re-elected him for another term, she wouldn't believe it.

All this is recorded fact, and when references show she's wrong, she tells me 1) Fake News, 2) Left Wing News Sources 3) Stop sending political articles.
She's very smart and has to eventually wake up.
I told her every time she post a political opinion on her facebook page, I will respond with references that refutes her post.
Mariana
(14,857 posts)No, she doesn't have to eventually wake up. She probably won't.

She doesn't sound smart at all.

(8,914 posts)except for politics.
She will mention her opinions and they are very liberal, yet she continues to vote for anyone with an (R).
When I mention that she votes against her very own opinions, she goes into denial.
I've never seen anything like this.
When I met her best friend, she turns out to be very progressive.
I had a long morning discussion with her best friend, and she's gone through the same things I'm going through.
Almost like a intervention needs to occur.

I doubt any kind of intervention will help.

Her father worked for Reagan to maintain equipment on his property in California near Santa Barbara.
He was enamored with Reagan and has obviously transferred that love to his daughter.
I've told her that the party of Reagan doesn't exist. Clinton has closer ideology to Reagan than Pendejo45 will ever have.
She will vote for anything with an (R) next to it.
It's her only major fault.
I will continue to point out her opinions and call BS when I see it.
She doesn't like talking politics because she knows I'll call her on it.
Yet I'm not the one to bring up politics.
sorry. Your friend is an idiot.
