other insignia indicating they are LEO, what law have you broken?
Are we to the point where dressing in camo and brandishing a firearm makes a person "the law"?
If one is threatened by one of these unidentified gun-toters and shoots them with their lawful concealed-carry weapon, would that not be justifiable self-defense? (i.e., "Who knew?)

There is a literal legal and ethical reason why military and LEOs wear rank and insignia, and don;t dress like Putin's Little Green Men.

(52,116 posts)but they have an understanding with the donnie administration.
they probably can't arrest anyone themselves, but they can pin someone down and hand them over to legit police.
they can certainly threaten and fire tear gas and whatnot and push people out of an area they're trying to "secure".
as private citizens, they might be committing things like assault with a deadly weapon, but their understanding with the donnie administration is that they wouldn't dream of charging them with anything like that.
if somehow an ordinary person decided to "stand their ground" and shoot them with a lawful concealed-carry weapon, donnie's troops would probably just pummel and maybe kill that person on the spot, why would they bother with a problematic prosecution.
