3. I think that right now the question is

how enduring that will be? Right now, they are (rightly) freaked out about Trump and will do or say pretty much anything to get rid of him. But once he's gone and the heat is off, then what? Some of them may be totally sincere and genuine about their mistakes. For some it maybe more of a matter of convenience but they'll all have to decide where they stand once Trump is gone and the dust settles. Frankly, for me right now, getting rid of Trump and as many Trump enablers is the goal right now. We'll just have to figure out to deal with them afterwards later.
