Rather, that second wave looks like it's just about here already, meaning that we'll be on wave three or four by the fall.
We really need Biden to take over right now.

Combined with the annual surge of influenza every year, the number of patients could overly tax the hospitals. He then pointed out that in the absence of an effective vaccine, the world would continue to experience wave after wave of outbreaks until everyone's either immune or dead.
I'm sorry but I don't recall any details of where I heard it but it struck me as authoritative.

(9,952 posts)I read today Texas, Az and Oregon have all increased. I am Or. Oregon of course is significantly less than a state like Texas, but for our numbers. I am just kinda feeling maybe it might not be as bad, because it is summer.

(29,699 posts)Today the report showed 409 people got sick yesterday and 9 more died here in Arkansas.
We are at the beginning of the summer holiday season and I expect we will have a continued upward trend as we are a very popular vacation state. Our tourist town is already overrun with people from several different states.
Thank goodness I live out of town and rarely go there. I buy groceries once a month and the stay put.

(100,060 posts)My brother worked a 14 hour shift last week where his hospital saw 0 COVID patients, and that was the first time since the day the pandemic was declared. It's getting better, but who knows what this will look like even a month from now?
