A native of Santa Rosa, Dr. Randal Brown is the Chief Medical Officer at Sunrise Medical Group and Chief of Staff at Guadalupe County Hospital. Raised in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, Dr. Brown has always loved the outdoors and currently lives on a farm near Puerto De Luna NM, a small community south of Santa Rosa with his wife of 28 years Antje, his daughter Sally, and Sally’s young children.. Dr. Brown is the proud father and grandfather. A graduate of New Mexico Military Institute ’74, Dr. Brown completed his undergraduate education at the University of New Mexico in 1988. Dr. Brown earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1992 from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and returned to his home town of Santa Rosa. In 1995, he opened Sunrise Medical Group P.C. with the goal of providing quality healthcare to the residents of Guadalupe and surrounding counties. Dr. Brown has worked closely with the Guadalupe County Hospital throughout his time in Santa Rosa and currently holds the position of Chief of Staff. Eduction has always been one of Dr. Brown’s passions and he is currently an assistant Clinic Professor for both the UNM Family and Community Medicine program and the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine program. Each year, students from these programs complete a month long training rotation in Santa Rosa working and learning from Dr. Brown and the rest of the Sunrise Medical Group team. During his free time, Dr. Brown enjoys farming in the Pecos River Valley, fixing broken farm equipment, spending time with his children, and teaching his young grandchildren.
