Maybe they can sell more trinkets to try and help trump
If there's one group of Catholics that I could see bringing back indulgences, it's EWTN

That rousting out a bishop and priest with tear-gas for a photo-op is an outrage and should not be applauded.

Parochial school for 7 years each. My dad, an FDR Democrat, despised the idea of vouchers. Anyway, we never had a bible in our house. There is such a thing as a Catholic Bible but nobody has one! LOL. They couldn’t tolerate Bible thumpers. That recognized bullshit from a mile away. They would loathe trump and his Bible photo op.

My mom started leaning R crazy in the half dozen years of her life.
But, they were JFK/LBJ dems, and dad was a Teamster. They didn't like or trust Nixon, but were iffy on antiwar protests.
So, middle of the road catholic dems for as long as I remember.
Me, catholic grade school, high school, and even college. (The college choice was about their big rep in the field in which I majored, not the religion.). Sister, too. But she didn't finish college.

He makes a penitent pilgrimage from Santa Fe’s (NM) main plaza to the Sanctuary of Chimayo on his knees, and nothing less.

He got the majority of Catholics' votes, overall, in 2016, so this is very important.

It was a polling place in 2016, there must have been two hundred trump for president signs in front of the church, I don't trust Catholics.
