I did wonder about this because Biden comes from an Irish Catholic background and whether that would help him. I think it probably does.

(11,143 posts)Parochial school for 7 years each. My dad, an FDR Democrat, despised the idea of vouchers. Anyway, we never had a bible in our house. There is such a thing as a Catholic Bible but nobody has one! LOL. They couldnt tolerate Bible thumpers. That recognized bullshit from a mile away. They would loathe trump and his Bible photo op.

But, they were JFK/LBJ dems, and dad was a Teamster. They didn't like or trust Nixon, but were iffy on antiwar protests.
So, middle of the road catholic dems for as long as I remember.
Me, catholic grade school, high school, and even college. (The college choice was about their big rep in the field in which I majored, not the religion.). Sister, too. But she didn't finish college.
