Was talking with our sons No drama just respect ,June 5 th day before D-Day

They were gonna go swim at rock quarry. Thunderstorms kept them home. We were shooting breeze on back porch as I slow cook pork roast. No Drama I said to them can you guys imagine seventy six years ago. Men were receiving last rites on this day men only two or three years older than you boys. Dam they knew this was it. Not only D Day Guadalcanal the Philippines the invasion of North Africa.
They were our stallions They saved the world. And I respect them all just my thoughts or rambles. I told my boys dad is so lucky that I never had serve or deal with war. As a infantry soldier I am thankful.
