(2,740 posts)There is more nuance in the world than people recognize. Some fact-check better, or frame things, or choose better or worse sources and interviews, and so on.
It is our responsibility to distinguish these differences, if we partake of any media, really.
Since you are Nature Man, perhaps you get information from all natural, non-corporate sources. Maybe birds, I don't know.
Just not stupid enough to believe reality tv programming is actual journalism.

(38,393 posts)It's hard to find on TV, admittedly.
No source is perfect, but several are actual journalism.

(2,768 posts)I prefer to look for live online feeds. If I want journalism, I look to individuals rather than entities, so I follow particular investigative journalists, legal experts, researchers, analysts, etc.
I don't mind if they report for a particular entity, but I'm most interested in what the individual is saying/doing.

(10,750 posts)Lately he has had some really good shows. I dont have tv so I podcast Chris, Rachel, Joy , Randy and Lawrence. This way I can work, take care of my garden, animals chickens, paint etc without having to be tied down to a tv.

(176,745 posts)Chris Hayes pushed the Tara Reade matter and was very dishonest in his reporting of that bogus issue. Hayes needs to apologize for the lies he told about that bogus matter.

(2,768 posts)I wish all of them would let the events speak for themselves more, instead of bringing on endless talking heads to talk over what's happening on the ground.

(29,346 posts)I watch Rachel just about every night--at least the A block. If I get to the TV before it starts sometimes I'll watch the end of Hayes, but it doesn't really fit my schedule. Sometime between the end of the A block and a variable number of minutes into Lawrence I usually tune to something else.
CNN has just never really grabbed me, though I was impressed with some of their protest coverage in the last week or so.

(1,609 posts)I started eliminating shows like Morning Joe, Meet the press, Andrea Mitchel, etc.. Now all that is left is Rachel but it's not worth tuning into even for her anymore.
