Police officer tells Proud Boys how to avoid making it look like the police are playing favorites

In the video documenting an encounter between a Salem police officer and the group gathered at Glamour Salon, the officer is seen asking the armed group to get off the sidewalks before police start enforcing the curfew.

"We really appreciate the attitude you have all had," the officer said. "We just ask you for a favor."

He said they needed to leave the sidewalk but could be inside a business or inside their vehicles.

He told them they couldn't be seen on the sidewalk so "it doesn't look like we are playing favorites."
