This mayor of Buffalo is completely clueless

he is double speaking trying to excuse the behavior of the police officers. Making the argument that police should keep moving forward instead of helping the poor guy they just showed to the ground.

1. He is awful - making excuses for cops, then denouncing it simultaneously. He made excuses for why

...no one rendered assistance to the man laying there bleeding. He started talking about how the police are trained to stay in formation and then are followed by a medic who renders help.

Medic? Formation?

Is this military at war with a medic?

I've seen pre-school aged kids with better organizational skills.

They didn't maintain any kind of alignment, if that was a well trained unit...the PD needs to get their money back!!!!

Apparently it's common practice pretty much all over the US. Medical treatment is supposed to be rendered after the scene is secure. In this case for a protest, medical is supposed to be administered behind the front line to ensure the injured and the person treating them are protected from further injury.

He seemed completely detached from what was going on with the police in his own city. He was talking in a pedantic tone that was so off putting. Rachel seemed very frustrated that she couldn’t get through to him.

He was spinning like a tornado trying to minimize the conduct of police while playing up how they were protecting the city from "lawbreakers." I lost count of how many times he pointed out the "prompt" response by medics after the assault.

I noticed while he was spinning he wasn't looking at the camera but down and off to the side. It was a tell.
